Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Community hosted the CCS Religious Emblems Retreat on Saturday, December 2. Bishop Michael Jarrell (pictured above) opens the well-attended event with the celebration of the Holy Mass an explanation of the Mass and his vestments as Spiritual Shepard of the Diocese of Lafayette. Bishop Michael Jarrell, a former Boy Scout, was presented a embroidered stole vestment for his strong support of Catholic Scouting ministry to youth. Religious Emblems Retreat Registration Form is held annually for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts to get a jumpstart on thier National or Diocesan age-specific Religious Emblem.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Lafayette Diocesan CCS Chaplain, celebrates Palm Sunday anticipated Mass for over 175 Scouts and Scouters at Camporee held at Camp Thistlewaite in St. Landry Parish. The Mass was preceeded by the traditional blessing of palms harvested from campground Palmettos. ______ + ______

Our Catholic Scouts & Scouters were served with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at Winter Camp to emphasize their Duty to God
Father Eugene Tremie, Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Ville Platte, graciously accepted CCS's invitation to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to over 250 Scouts and Scouters at Mt. Bayou Winter Camp.
